collaborates with Hollywood actresses Christine Avery and Celina Mauti and Sony Pictures Digital Fulfillment Operator Cleotis Kelly Philadelphia, PA, September 16, 2013 Local indie writer/actor Brian Carlin is leading his awardnominated team, Inglorious Splicers Productions, in this year's Project Twenty1 21-day filmmaking competition. This year's film stars actress Christine Avery, who is currently shooting the indie horror film Apex. Actress Celina Mauti, who has worked with The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, is also starring in the film. The film is co-written by Brian Carlin, Sandra Miska, and Davia Sills. It is co-produced by Brian Carlin, Sandra Miska, and Christopher Harrison. This year, Inglorious Splicers Productions turned to online fundraising website Indiegogo to raise $1500 for its film entry. His film crew consists of Sandra Miska, Davia Sills, Christopher Harrison, Massimo Bordonaro, Christine Avery, Celina Mauti, Cleotis Kelly, Stephen Hilton, Justin Amey, Debi Carroll, Todd Holland, and Jeff Beachnau. Mr. Carlin was fortunate enough to film Writer Madness in Los Angeles California. Below is a description of Writer Madness: Josh is your average aspiring screenwriter whos trying to make it big in Hollywood. But finally, after many attempts, hes getting his first big break to write the coming-of-age teen romance story hes dreamed of. But multiple setbacks and rewrites forced by his executive producers Greg and Candace are greatly taking their toll on both Josh and his girlfriend Beth. Plus writers block in the form of a Screenwriting Demon that just wont leave him be. Will he be able to write the coming-of-age teen romance that he dreams of, or will he succumb to the pressures that are slowly driving him to MADNESS?! Writer Madness will have its world premiere on Friday, September 27th at 7 P.M. We will exclusively provide tickets to our screening for media interested in covering this event. The Project Twenty1 Film & Animation Festival is a non-profit yearly event where filmmakers from around the Pennsylvania area, as well as other states and international communities, compete for the title of Best Picture and other awards. Each year, filmmakers must write, produce, act, film, edit and submit a 10 minute film or less within 21 days of an announced secret element presented in early August. His passion for film and the filmmaking process began at an early age, which he furthered in his education studying at the Summer Program at USC School of Cinematic Arts, the Walnut Street Theatre, and the Philadelphia Acting Studio. The co-founders of Team Inglorious Splicers are Brian Carlin and Sandra Miska. They met as undergraduates at Michigan State University. In 2010, Brian traveled to Boston to help Sandra on her graduate thesis film Breakup Watch. In 2012, they teamed up for Project Twenty1s 21 Day Filmmaking Competition and co-wrote Superhero for Hire, which earned a nomination for Best Writing. They have brought many of the cast and crew from Superhero for Hire, including fellow Michigan State alumnus Christopher Harrison on board for Writer Madness. Inglorious Splicers Productions is an award-nominated production studio dedicated to high-quality films with strong writing and high production quality. This is Inglorious Splicers Productions second year in the competition.
