Datuk Badri Masri PETALING JAYA: Astro All Asia Networks plc (Astro) plans to expand its local

pay-television, radio and television programming operations although it admits that consumer sentiment is being affected by uncertainties in the economic environment. Chairman Datuk Badri Masri said the company was focused customer service. We remain positive that the investments we have put into technology, local programming, premium sports and other content will continue to pay off, he said in a statement issued after the company AGM yesterday. Meanwhile, executive deputy chairman and group chief executive officer Ralph Marshall said: There has been no progress in negotiations on the proposed take-up by the group of an equity stake in PT Direct Vision and the discussion remains inconclusive.
