• Students enjoy their first English lesson.
o Observe and if it’s not working, don’t push too fast.
• Students learn a basic self-introduction and “how are you?”
o Obersvational assessments.

• Because if they enjoy their first lesson there is a better chance for them to want to learn more, plus if this
goes well then hopefully the next ALT can work and teach at this school.

3. Self – Introduction Activity

• Go through it slowly
a. Start in pairs then bring the class together. If it’s too easy, introduce addition and subtraction. If they
are just guessing randomly, enforce the rule that if they pick a wrong card they have to give one up
out of their pile.
