Dear Chainnan Obey and Ranking Member Lewis:

I am requesting funding for the New Jersey Mentoring Initiative throughout the state of
New Jersey in fiscal year 2010. The entity to receive funding for this project is the Big
Brothers Big Sisters Foundation of New Jersey, 1259 Route 46 East, Building 3,
Parsippany, NJ 07054. The funding would be used to expand and strengthen Big Brother
Big Sisters mentoring programs for at risk youth in every county in New Jersey. The
project will also recruit volunteers statewide and provide best practices for other
mentoring programs. I certify that neither I nor my spouse has any financial interest in
this project.
