HOW-TO-INSTALL AND TO START Geostat Office 1. Run setup program to install Geostat Office Educational version 2.

After installation, please, rename the file GSOFFICE.HLP in the directory /GSOFFICE/bin/ into GSOEdu.HLP. It will give access to the previous version of the GSO help file. It can be useful! 3. GeoSVM is a stand alone module. It is in the directory GeoSVM_Edu 4. Geostat Office guide can be found in the directory /GSO_Guide. Current version of the Guide is a part of the complete GSO guide (GSO Professional). 5. WARNING: There can be a compatibility problem with *.dbf files generated by GSO and widely used by ArcView 3.2. This version of ArcView is based on version 3 of *.dbf files. Geostat Office can produce more compact dbf files of the latest version 7, which are not compatible with ArcView 3.2. In order to tune BDE (Borland data base engine), please, use small tool "BDE.exe" which will help you to tune your system. (e.g., use "dBaseIII and dBaseIII + table format"). BDE.exe and corresponding dll file VCL50.BPL are in the root directory of the installation disk. 6. All questions, comments and suggestions are welcomed at: Prof. M.
