MILK

A struggle that unites them all

An outline for a low budget music video by Sophie Chittock.

THE SYNOPSIS Beautiful settings against even more beautiful girls. Struggling through a psychological disease that kills thousands of young girls each year, tormenting their minds. Seeking comfort in each other to try to understand the battle theyre going through. Walking hopelessly trying to find an answer to the disease that troubles their mind, we capture the beauty of the complex agricultural back drop against the simple, plain girls longing to seek some answers. Interpreting anorexia in different ways the three girls are essentially three sins: self-harm, starvation and bulimia. Each portraying through movement and costume their sector. A contemporary and challenging music video, to make you look twice at whats happening and think about a deeper meaning than just pretty girls dancing. Thought provoking and emotional response to anorexia.

NOTES ON STYLE All three of the girls will be wearing white. This is to symbolise the actual musical title as I will be incorporating the drink throughout. White is also a symbol of purity. One that women wear on their wedding day to show that theyre innocent in the eyes of god, an approach I wish to portray further in my video of these three girls being the innocent against the deadly disease. The camera work will focus on capturing the beauty that lies beneath the disease, with close up/extreme close up shots of the girls and the scenery, combing them together with smooth editing. With the close ups, the make-up will be of a nude palette, letting the natural beauty of the girls come through a lot clearer and really accentuating the innocence behind them. No shoes will be worn as they walk through: woods, lakes, houses, as I want to keep the costume as simple and plain as possible; almost a reflection of the girls being separate to the earth they live on, almost angel like.
