1. This document provides a 23 step process for completely removing Acronis True Image Home from a system by manually stopping backups, uninstalling the software, deleting files and registry entries.
2. Steps include uninstalling Acronis, deleting files in the Acronis program folder, boot folder, and Windows directories. The cleanup utility is also used.
3. Registry entries related to Acronis services, drivers and components are deleted from the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and HKEY_CURRENT_USER hives. Finally the system is booted and checks are performed to ensure all Acronis files and entries were successfully removed.

2. Stop Acronis Scheduler2 Service in Windows service:
3. Delete in Acronis True Image all Acronis Backups and Tasks by hand
4. Delete Acronis Secure Zone if available
5. Uninstall Acronis True Image normal by Windows Installer - During uninstall, tick all boxes (for deleting):

7. Delete all existing noneffective shortcuts Acronis, e.g.: X:\Program Files\Acronis\TrueImageHome\TrueImageLauncher.exe

9. Turn off your Antivirusprotection & Firewall

12. Show in Windows Device-Manager all hidden devices. If there is an Acronis-Device (e.g. Acronis Backup Archive Explorer) you have to delete some strings there (only strings!). Read instructions: http://kb.acronis.com/content/1622 Acronis Removing-Manual

13. Delete, .sys-files if available: - fltsrv - snapman - tdrpman - timounter - vididr - vsfltXX.sys file in (XX = a number depending on your build the number may be 58 or 61) in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\vsflt61.sys
14. Delete, if available all Acronis Run-Entries in the Windows Registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
15. Delete, if available timounter & tifsfilter-services: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\services HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\services HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet003\services HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services

17. Delete, if available: - fltsrv - snapman - tdrpman - timounter - vididr - vidsfltXX (XX = a number depending on your build the number may be 58 or 61)
18. Delete all Acronis & TrueImage entries: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache

20. Delete Acronis Secure Zone entry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{C539A15B-3AF9-4c92-B771-50CB78F5C751}
- IMPORTANT: Before boot, check again Point 16 & 17 if all these entries are removed!!!! - If you have e.g. DriverView Software in use: (http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/driverview.html) check if no mentioned entry (Point 16 & 17) is showed in the driver list. If DriverView is showing some of these entries, its OK when it looks like in the picture below (File Type must be Unknown! If File Type is not Unknown or all other fields are filled, dont boot, otherwise you will get a Bluescreen! Check again Point 13!
23. Boot If you did not get an BSOD (0x7): congratulations! - Your System is now Acronis Free!
(To check: In Driverview there must be no entry of any Acronis-component.)
