Middle What will children do? Earlier Move around to the music. Middle Move around to music and try to recall what comes next. Later Move around to music, clap, stomp recall and do whats next.

Strategies Encourage child to make the moves with the instruction of music.

Strategies Encourage child to move and touch all the parts of body.

Strategies Encourage child to demonstrate to his or her peers.

End (warning and transition to next part of routine) When the song is near the end have children clap and walk to table and sit down for the next activity.

Follow up Ideas Read a book with the different body parts and have children to point to them without music.
