Fall 2013 Dear Business Members of the Community, In order to give various opportunities to our sponsors to be thanked through different media exposure and to manage our funds more effectively throughout the season we have put together a sponsorship package pror to the start of our season that offers various levels to businesses and lets you know where your sponsorship dollars are going to. Thank you for supporting us over the years and helping us celebrate 38 years of teaching skating skills to the community this season! DID YOU KNOW THAT? Skate Canada Mount Forest Annual budget exceeds $45,000 annually? All 7 Skate Canada Mount Forest coaches are certified professionals that are paid for their services, including the CanSkate? The funds raised through registrations & intial family fundraising fees are not enough to cover the costs to run programs and support our skaters? ABOUT OUR CLUB We are celebrating 38 Years for teaching people of all ages and levels to skate Club membership has increased by over 80% in the last 6 Years Our athletes skate in compeitions and exhibitions locally and provincially Skate Canada Mount Forest provides programs for the ENTIRE community Learn to Skate (PreCanSkate & Canskate), Adults ( Test Stream, Learn to Skate and Syncro), CanPower(for Ringette and Hockey) and STARskate programs (test stream) starting from ages 3 to 50 + and Special Olympics. WHERE YOUR SPONSORSHIP MONEY GOES Supplies for programs- badges for all skating levels, various teaching aids for on and off ice,bi-annual report cards, program manuals for program assistants and program co-ordinators Rewards and incentives for Program Assistants who volunteer their time teaching on the CanSkate Program, montly Pizza etc. Program Assistant Training sessions for ice and coaching Coaching costs for skaters of all levels increased this year to meet the delivery standards of the governing body Skate Canada and the Long Term Athlete Development Plan and the increase in the number of skaters registered in programs Ice Fees ($96.00 per hour + HST) Off Ice Programs to enable skaters to be the best skaters due to all around good well balanced training Printing costs for registrations, montly newsletters and advertising
