Leadership and Extracurricular Activities Psychology Coalition President: Volunteer work at local nursing home and boys home. Attended lectures by weekly guest speakers on various psychological topics. Lead group in many activities such as banner-making and fundraising. Pursued establishing a Masquerade Ball fundraiser. Research Experience Psychometrist Worked with Masters degree student on pioneer psychological study on how creative drawing affects memory. The study is to be published under the title Art and Memory: Examining the Learning Benefits of Visual Art Exposure. Conducted and evaluated surveys and conducted outside research. After the study finished, began research on Schadenfreude for new study by said Masters student. Study Abroad Japan: One year program. I learned Eastern Philosophy and group mentality from the native Japanese. Studied the effects of language on mentality based on the perceived changes in myself and my fellow students based on their use of English or Japanese Learned to read body language and communicate nonverbally because I initially did not know the language.
