This document provides templates and instructions for cutting universal SIM cards to different standards like Mini SIM to Micro SIM according to ETSI specifications. It advises printing the templates at a 1:1 scale, taping the SIM card on top, tracing cut lines carefully with a sharp knife or scissors, and potentially filing the plastic side for a perfect fit, taking care not to damage the chip side. It notes Nano SIMs are slightly thinner and to ensure the SIM being cut only has 2 x 3 pads rather than 2 x 4 to avoid destroying the metallic contacts.
