SKILLS SUMMARY

Communication: I have high skill levels in both verbal and written communication. My written reference from my supervising teacher and practicum reportd indicate my abilty to interact positively and effectively with students and staff. My university studies have also demanded excellent skills in writing, speaking, researching and making presentations. Teamwork: I am a positive and collaborative team member who can offer colleagues my support, willingness to share resources and attendance at all staff meetings and professional development programs. My practicum experience required me to use these skills to achieve the best possible learning outcomes for the students. ICT: I am competent in the use of Mac computers as well as Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excell and Publisher. I am also proficient in the use of Interactive White Boards, and online resources.
PRACTICUM EXPERIENCES

Position: Practicum Experience School: Georges Hall Public School Year: 2012 Stage: Stage 1 Year 1 Responsibilities: Established and successfully implemented structured and engaging lessons that followed a set program for all Key Learning Areas. Developed cohesive lessons that targeted relavant outcomes and indicators for year 1 students.

Achievements: During the practicum I was able to work collaboratively and effectively with other staff members. My supervising teacher commended my efforts in creating cohesive, organised and creative unit of work based on the HSIE unit Transport. I was also able to incorporate the use of technology in all Key Learning Areas.

Position: Practicum Experience School: Rissallah College Lakemba Year: 2013 Stage: Stage 2 Year 3 Responsibilities: Plan differentiated lessons for a variety of ability levels. Plan and assess effective learing. Attended professional development workshops with staff that were based on compliance.

Achievements: This practicum experience successfully consolidated my key classroom management strategies. I achieved effective management by swiftly learning each students name, establishing a rapport with each student by taking an individual interest in them and by setting appropriate ecpectations early on the practicum.
