Complete the Empires of Islam comparison chart Islam appealed to the people prior to 1258 CE because it unified which lead to a central message of religion. Muhammad a merchant heard the voice of an angel. God had spoken to the Arabs. Muhammad is the prophet of God. There is only one God. Islam is submission to God. It was this message that gave them an empire. No one doubts the conquests took place but because of Islam (1). Muhammad recorded his revolutions from God, forming the Quran. But very interesting the very way of God Muslims believe that everything began in the Mecca but no mention after Muhammads death. A place in the desert, in the middle of the desert the Mecca. Summarize Reasons for Decline:

Division between the Sunnis and Shities when the Sunnis held power favored other Sunnis and deprived Shities of wealth and power.

Economic tensions increased between the wealthy Arabs and those who had less. Muslims criticized the court of Damascus.
