Summary of Recent Experience: Educational Technology and Instructional Design 8/94 - present: Associate Professor (tenured), College of Education, Texas A & M University-Corpus Christi. Primary responsibilities have included planning and conducting online graduate courses in educational technology, computer applications, instructional design, multimedia, and teaching with technology; assisting directly with the evolution of the Instructional Design and Educational Technology Program to a completely online format in association with Academic Partnerships; developing new courses; promoting and administering the program and advising students; writng for publication in academic books, journals, and conference proceedings; serving on University, College, and state-level committees. 8/92 - 8/94: Director, Instructional Technology Program, Division of Educational Leadership and Development, College of Education, San Jos State University. Responsibilities included day-to-day administration of the program; this included tasks such as scheduling courses; advising students; disseminating program information and recruiting students; supervising secretarial and laboratory support staff; monitoring budgets and approving expenditures; conducting faculty meetings; coordinating faculty efforts in program planning, teaching, and evaluation. 8/89 - 8/94: Assistant Professor, Instructional Technology Program, Division of Educational Leadership and Development, College of Education, San Jos State University. Responsibilities included planning and conducting courses and distance education courses in educational research, instructional design, interactive video, and media production and utilization in the schools; advising students. 4/86 - 7/89: Project Manager and Instructional Designer, Center for Instructional Development and Services, Florida State University. Responsibilities included planning project activities; managing staff; functioning as main client contact; researching and developing learning objectives, content, and tests; developing workbooks and instructor guides; developing scripts and storyboards for video and interactive video programs; arranging for packaging and delivery of products; developing proposals.
