Statement of Purpose

I believe classroom management is a very important part of the classroom. I believe that if students feel that they are in a safe, supportive, and caring environment, then learning can take place. Having the right environment for all students to learn is my major goal of implementing good classroom management.

Classroom Rules
Rule 1: Follow directions. Rule 2: Raise your hand before speaking. Rule 3: Respect your classmates and your teacher. Rule 4: Keep hands, feet, and other objects to yourself. Rule 5: Make smart choices.

Classroom Procedures
Procedure 1: Hallway between classes -Walk, don't run
-Be respectful of other people and their property -Don't cause unnecessary crowding

Procedure 2: Classroom -Come to class prepared


-If you need a break for bathroom or locker visit, ask for a pass

Procedure 3: Bathroom -Try to use in-between classes


-If necessary, ask before leaving and take a pass -Be as quickly as possible

Procedure 4: Class -Introduction: Check and turn in homework, warm up activity


-Lecture: take notes and participate in discussions -End of class: exit slips and get homework for next class

Procedure 5: Tardy -Get a pass from the office or from previous teacher
-Make up any missed work

Procedure 6: Absences -Turn in homework from the day you missed


-Go to absent folder to collect anything that you missed -Ask teacher if you have any questions -Complete make-up work and turn in in a timely fashion

Procedure 7: Cell Phones -Follow school policy


-If cell phones allowed, only have if an emergency and inform teacher ahead of time -Keep phone on silent and leave the room to answer
