Toth October 9, 2013 Career Research Physical Therapy: In this career one primarily concerned with the remediation of impairments and disabilities and the promotion of mobility, functional ability, quality of life and movement potential through examination, evaluation, diagnosis and physical intervention. The skills that a physical therapist would need is people skills, this is and occupation that you have people coming in and out of your office all day that you make contact with. You would aslso need to be carefull with people because of the amount of bending and twising you have to do to anothers body. One also must be cirtified in CPR, being physically able to go through exercises with the patient, etc. A typical day in the life of a physical therapist is: examine patients medical histories test and measure the patients strength, range of motion, balance and coordination, posture, muscle performance, respiration, and motor function determine patients ability to be independent and reintegrate into the community or workplace after injury or illness develop treatment plans describing a treatment strategy, its purpose, and its anticipated outcome correspond with other members of the healthcare team The average physical therapist will start making roughly $80,000 per year (give or take). The wage varies between population of where you are living and the market of other competitors. In high school one can take lots of math and science to help them in physical therapy. Athletic Trainer: An athletic trainer will develop overall sports medicine program for the University, including: injury prevention programs, injury evaluations, injury management, injury treatment and rehabilitation, educational programs and counseling for student-athletes. Anasthesiologist: An anesthesiologist is a medical doctor who cares for a patient before, during and immediately following a surgical or medical procedure by administering appropriate anesthesia and monitoring the patient for reactions and complications, and to ensure comfort

and manage pain. To be an anesthesiologist you must be a people person who can hand stress and pressure at any given time. You must be quick on your feet and good with your hands. You must also be good at math and science. You must also have gone to medical school. An average day for them is to put people under for surgery so they wont have to go through the pain. They will also have to go through a lot of math to make sure the right amount is dealt to a patient. On average an anesthesiologist will work a 12 hour day everyday. The money that can be may varies however they make a lot of money either way. Some make up to $200,000 and the lowest one will make is about $140,000. Classes to take in high school to get you started are science and math classes. Veterinarian: Veterinarians treat diseases and injuries of pets, such as dogs and cats, and farm animals, such as cattle or sheep: The veterinarian examines the animal to determine nature of disease or injury and treats the animal surgically or medically. A veterinarian tests dairy herds, horses, sheep, and other animals for diseases and inoculates animals against rabies, brucellosis, and other disorders. They advise animal owners about sanitary measures, feeding, and general care to promote health of animals. One must have a degree to practice medicine and diagnose animals and must also be a doctor. A typical day at work for veterinarians generally starts in the morning at 9. Some days could be all for surgeries such as spays and neuters or handling appointments for checkups, giving shots or dealing with an illness such as vomiting or diarrhea. On average a vet. will make $100,000. Some classes to take in high school to become a vet are mathematics, chemistry, biology, physics.
