BOUTIQUE COMMUNICATIONS

Boutique Communications prides itself on being a professional public relations consultancy. Communicating the correct corporate identity is essential in representing the company. It leads to a stronger recognition of the brand by clients, industry members and the general community. The companys logo reflects Boutique Communications in incorporating the values and teachings of the old, with the modern trends and opinions of today. It is important to maintain this representation as it is a key link with the values and aims of the organisation. The companys values carry over into all work in the communications field that they engage in. From brand management, issues and crisis management to event management and client liaisons. 3

The short logo features the typography interlaced with the symbol. The swirl pattern must always be aligned with the complete back edge of the B. This is the key representation of Boutique Communications and to ensure correct format and use electronic copies are supplied. Minimum Space Clearing The logo must be the most significant graphic feature on the page. To ensure no obstruction by any other written elements there needs to be a minimum space clearing the 0.5x the width of the pattern.

The full logo incorporates the small logo and all its specifications. The OUTIQUE must always be half the size of the B to maintain correct portioning. No kerning may be done to the letters, as it will alter the proportion and decrease legibility. COMMUNICATIONS justified to the right at 0.25 x the height of OUTIQUE is an optional addition and may be used at the discretion of the author/designer. Minimum Space Clearing The logo must be the most significant graphic feature on the page. To ensure no obstruction by any other written elements there needs to be a minimum space clearing the 0.5x the width of the pattern.

Minimum Size The short logo must not be reproduced smaller than 20mm in length. and the full logo must not be reporduced smaller than 68mm in length to ensure they are still efficiently represented. Maximum Size Both logos can be used at any size as long as the relating dimensions between length and height are maintained. Use With Other Logos Both of Boutique Communications logos must not be any smaller that any other logos on the same page. It may only be larger or equal to that of any other and must maintain the correct area of exclusion.

USE

LOGO CHOICE The use of both short and full logo together on the same document or presentation page is prohibited. It is an over representation of the brand and distracts from the impact of each other. The full logo is to be used on cover letters and any formal documents to be used for external purposes with clients and their representation. The short logo can be used for internal and industry documents or digital presentations. The short logo is appropriate for use in corners of pages as a constant indication of the brand on their work. PATTERN The pattern, as an important representation of the brand, can be used in conjunction with the appropriate fonts and layout on official documents and stationary. However it cannot be the sole representation of the brand. One of the logos or company name must appear in full on the document along side the pattern.

COLOUR

Both logos use only two colours. The pattern may appear in a light grey tone. The values are as follows. RGB For publications using RGB colour values must be the following

CMYK For publications using CMYK colour values must be the following
C 0 M 0 Y 0 K 100 C 0 M 0 Y 0 K 0 C 0 M 0 Y 0 K 30

EXCEPTIONS The logos can take on different colours if the above values do not complement the colours of other aspects of the design. But this is subject to approval and must be approved by management before publication.

Typography is an important element in the branding of Boutique Communications. Arial and Avant Garde are to be used in all print and digital publications and documents. These two fonts are clear and legible and complement the feel and look of the companys logos. Both fonts come in a range on weights and styles, allowing for flexibility when working across a variety of forms and materials.

Variations of the Boutique Communications have been created in order to provide appropriate branding for all circumstances. The logos are available in TIFF and JPEG formats in CMYK and RGB. Due to the colour scheme of the brand there is to be no difference in the colours when printing in colour or grey scale on light paper. However if the logo is printed on dark paper the colours must be inverted to ensure a clear depiction of the logo.

VARIATIONS

Should any issues arise where the main monochrome colour scheme cannot be applied and reproduction of the suitable logos cannot occur, please contact Boutique Communications prior to finalising and releasing any publications. All variations or changes to the mentioned guidelines must be approved in writing by senior manager. This is essential as the company prides itself on its image and strongly wants to maintain a consistent and professional representation.
