How do Volcanoes form?

Volcanoes form when magma reaches the surface and starts bumping into the crust Sometimes pieces of rock will block the magma from bursting out

Then it will start to build pressure When magma reaches enough pressure , it breaks the rock in a giant explosion These volcanoes are called stratovolcanoes

How do volcanoes form?

Ash clouds from stratovolcanoes can spread around large areas Then decrease the temperatures from those areas Some are big enough to lower world temperature Mt. pinatubo, a stratovolcano, lowered world temperatures for a year. Ash from volcanoes may reach enough heights to endanger jet airplanes

What causes a Volcano to erupt?

They erupt when magma finds the crack and it pushes up. When a volcano forms magma finds a way to enter They erupt because magma finds its way to enter

How are Volcanoes good?

They give animals new habitats. They give us rich soil for farmers to grow there crops. They give us nutrients

How Do Volcanoes Work?

When magma reaches the surface , it will try to break a hole It will slowly go up through the hole and down Then with greater pressure will go up and erupt.

some volcanoes are considered dormant Dormant volcanoes are sleeping Sleeping volcanoes might not erupt anymore Some dormant volcanoes are considered mountains But dormant volcanoes might erupt again

What Can We Do To Keep People Safe From Volcano Eruptions?

Volcanologists can sometimes prevent people that a volcano is going to erupt People can have emergency kits Wear long sleeved shirts Keep car or truck engines off

How Do Volcanoes Change Over Time?

They grow old Rock and lava poor down the sides Lava cools and the volcano has igneous rock on the sides The volcano cant erupt anymore Igneous rock covers the hole that connects to the mantle

How Do Volcanoes Change Over Time?

lava makes a hole in the volcano Plants start to grow on it it turns into a green mountain

How Do We Know That Volcanoes Are A Hole Into The Earth?

The mantle is magma and lava comes out of the mantle Also the picture here shows a hole into the mantle It s a thin hole that connects to the mantle

How is A Volcano Related to the Movement of the Mantle?

The volcano has a thin hole connecting to the mantle The mantle moves and goes up the volcano It can only go up if the movement of the mantle is hard
