(b) Write short notes on (i) Displacement models (ii) Shape functions. 2. (a) Define Plane-Stress & Plane-Strain analysis with suitable examples. (b) Explain importance of boundary conditions in finite element analysis with example. 3. (a) Derive the shape function for a wedge shaped element as shown in figure.
