Students will learn to communicate effectively about everyday topics. Students will be aware of their cultures social norms and appreciate how other cultures interact. Students will utilize correct vocabulary, verb conjugations, and sentence structure through communicating by written and verbal presentations.

Unit Goals and Objectives: To learn and apply the vocabulary for the house and interactions within context To understand appropriate manners and grammar changes for formal and informal interactions within different cultures To write about house duties and social contact between people

Unit Summary: This is an exciting and very useful unit that will prepare them for some of the most commonly used words, phrases, and activities! By covering topics that occur in and out of the house daily, they will be able to know the parts of a house and how to take care of it, to introduce themselves, and how to respond to social situations. This will be achieved by learning vocabulary that will be practiced by writing, speaking, and listening. Quizzes, assignments, and presentations will be used to assess their success in this unit.
