What Do You Think?!

Many teachers use surveys for both students and parents, but why should we use paper surveys that take time and resources to make and print when we could just use SurveyMonkey? This site allows you to create a survey and distribute it to your students or parents via the web. All you have to do is type in your questions and /or possible responses., and distribute it via email or via SurveyMonkey itself. Because all of the responses are on the web, they are easily accessible instead of having the teadious task of passing out, collecting, and keeping count of all the answers. Instead SurveyMonkey does the work for you! On top of simply viewing the responses, SurveyMonkey also analyzes your data for you by giving you percentages of each response. Again, this website does the work for you, As teachers, our time is very precious so every resource that would help us keep track of our students is very helpful. resources. Promethean Planet: A Hidden Gem

In todays classroom, many teachers are utilizing smart boards in their classroom. They use them to work out problems and save their work on a computer. While this is a great function, are these teachers utilizing this tool to its greatest potential? Smart boards, otherwise known as Promethean Planet, can be used in a much more fun and student-friendly way. Teachers can create interactive games and study resources using this magnificent program. After playing with it, I have found that it is a very complex and difficult program to use in the way that it was meant to be used. Despite this, the potential for increasing learning and the desire to learn is undeniable.
