Pretend that you could sit down at a table and have a conversation with Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Lucretia Mott, and Sojourner Truth. In a one paragraph essay, what would you tell them about the current state of women in America? Was Stanton, Mott, and Truths goals fully accomplished? Think. Base your opinion on historical fact.

For a long time now women in our society have been equal to men. This includes the right to vote, have a good education and more. Socially, women are just as equal to men as well. Some people argue that today women are superior to men. I have heard some people say change the expression Its a mans world, into the expression Its a womens world. Women have dominated the planet in many ways, for example, many people in government are women. In the 2008 election Hilary Clinton almost became the first women president. Let me note that in the 2008 election was the beginning of the first black president ever in the United States, President Barack Obama. This just shows how much society has changed over the years. There is less discrimination today than there was back in our history against women. The social normalcy that women are stay at home moms that do laundry, clean, cook and more are considered stereotypes, and soon will probably no longer be associated with women. In fact today many dads stay at home with the children and some mothers go to work all day. It is a little weird it is like the genders are switching roles in a sense. It is hard for me to imagine a world in which women are not just as equal to men.
