For Using the PASOLINK NEO
The Following features of Pasolink NEO can be implemented by upgrading Firmware or by
changing/adding modules or both.
1. LAN Transmission
The 2Port LAN option provided on the 16E1 INTFC card can be used by upgrading the
Firmware.
2. APS Feature
APS is an optional feature for SDH systems. This feature can be implemented by
installing a second STM-1 OPT INTFC card in the IDU and upgrading the Firmware to
configure the APS function.
3. XPIC Feature
XPIC is an optional feature of the 128 QAM SDH systems. It can be implemented by
installing another IDU/ODU (pair) together with the upgrading of the firmware to
configure the XPIC functions. Require XPIC cable kit.
4. SUB INTFC Feature
The 2MB Wayside and/or SC LAN SUB-INTFC are optional features available for SDH
systems. These options can be implemented by installing the appropriate Sub INTFC
card and by upgrading the Firmware.
5. 2Way DXC Function
The 2 way Digital Cross-Connect is an optional feature available for the PDH system. It
can be implemented by using new INTFC card and upgrading the Firmware.
6. Protect SW/MMC Function
The protect SW/MMC function is applied when the CTRL unit or SDH OPT INTFC
(APS) is extracted or inserted with power ON. Needs Firmware upgrade.
