PROCEDURE TASK 1: HALF WAVE RECTIFIER WITHOUT FILTER CIRCUIT. 1. Test the continuity of the primary and secondary winding of the given transformer. Exchange, if found defective. Record the specification of the given transformer, in the O & T sheet. 2. Using the wired board construct a half ware rectifier by carrying out the necessary modification, reoffering to figure 3.1. Follow the order of steps given below. Mount the transformer as shown in figure 3.1 on the Tag board using suitable size nuts washers and bolts. Get it checked by your instructor. Mount the wired half ware rectifier tag using nuts , washer and bolts Solder the wire connecting and two core power cord as shown in fig. Using wire, tie the power cord the base board as shown in fig. 3. Connected AC mains to the bored and Switch on mains measure and recode the mains voltage and transformer secondary voltage V (AC input to rectifier) in the table.

Figure 3.1 1. Measure and record the rectified DC voltage across load R1 using multimeter Connect the two channel input probes of the CRO As shown in fig. set the volt / div and Time / div of CH-2 such that two waveforms are seen clearly.

2. Show the wave- forms and plot the graph.
