To begin an activity and narrow the focus further I will first have the students begin by accessing an electronic resource focused just on India. Students will follow this link http://www.crickweb.co.uk/ks2geography.html#india and select the title A Village in India The site A Village in India contains three activities that help students explore the differences between India and Canada. The site allows students to: View photos showing how life is different from Canada students will respond to the photos Compare village homes/ lifestyle Students will respond to the photos Game: drag and drop Indias neighbors General Learner Outcome: Students will demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of how geographic, social, cultural, and linguistic factors affect quality of life in communities in India, Tunisia, Ukraine and Peru. Rational for Computer Integration: Computers have been integrated into this lesson to allow students to become more actively involved and engaged in their own learning. The activities will also allow students to visualize the material covered in class. This will hopefully lead to better understanding and retention. The resources will also allow students self assess their prior learning from previous classes. I was able to access these resources through using Google search.
