    Meniere's disease is an idiopathic condition that may be influenced by genetic and autoimmune factors or precipitated by allergies, metabolic disturbances, or viral illness. This leads to inflammation and an increase in endolymphatic pressure within the inner ear, physically distending and mechanically disturbing the organ of Corti.
