    In April 2007, the District approached Flewelling & Moody with the need to modernise their flagship campus. Hart High School’s facilities date to the early 1950s, and other than a gymnasium built following the Northridge earthquake in 1994, the site had not seen modernization, and had not seen significant new construction since the mid 1970s. In extensive consultations with District and site administration, instructional staff and our consultants, Phase I of the project developed into a modernization of 7 of the classroom buildings onsite, provision of a new 7 lab Modular Science building, a Band Room Addition to the Auditorium, site-wide fire alarm, new restrooms and extensive IT infrastructure upgrades. Construction is scheduled between June 2009 through August 2010.
