Weekly Objectives/Standards: TSW: 1. Continue to develop reading competences by completing weekly Reading Plus assignments and goals.

2. Read a classic novella. 3. Complete a dialogue with the text while reading a novella. 4. Learn pertinent vocabulary from a classic novella. 5. Write a reader response to a novella. 6. Complete an analysis of a text by using Learning Chips (Reading) in groups.

Class set of A Christmas Carol Patrick Stewart Audiotaped reading of A Christmas Carol Reading Lab/computers Reading logs Kagan Learning Chips (Reading)

HOMEWORK: 1) RIFRATT 30 2) Write 5 questions about todays lesson or the reading or the upcoming reading. 3) Log on to Reading Plus and complete lessons.

Tuesday:
I do: introduce and monitor Sunrise Activity; segue from SA to lesson We do: visit library to get new books and renew checkouts; review Reader Responses You do: take notes, participate in Reading Chip discussion

Closure: What new word/meaning do you remember from today? HOMEWORK: 1) RIFRATT 30 2) Write 5 questions about todays lesson or the reading or the upcoming reading 3) Log on to Reading Plus and complete lessons.

Wednesday: Reading Plus Lab Day
