Grated coconut- 1/2 cup Turmeric- 1/4 tsp Asafoetida- 2 pinches Coriander seeds- 2 Tbsp Chanadal/Split chickpeas- 2 Tbsp Cumin seeds/Jeera- 1/2 tsp Fenugreek seeds/Methi- 1/4 tsp Sesame seeds 1tbsp Red chillies as required Roast all the above but for coconut in a teaspoon of oil and dry roast the coconut it is becomes slightly brown grind them together to make a masala paste. Now saut this paste in oil and add tamarind extract, salt and bring it to boil. Let is boil and constrict and then add bit of jiggery and serve with rice.
