The topic must be about the Fourth of July and must: 1) Summarize what you did on this holiday last year; (2) Persuade your friend to spend the holiday by _______; (3) Inform your friend that Carmen does not have school on this holiday; Share your opinion about fireworks. Discuss: What was the purpose of your note? What was the main idea of your note? The main idea is normally the object of the authors purpose.
