My sample for Family and Community category is a letter that I had written to families coming into my classroom.

It fits this category because it shows some information about the teachers and some information about the classroom. I chose it as the best example of my work because it helps the parents feel more comfortable coming into the next room or just starting daycare. It also shows that I have writing communication skills along with verbal skills. I also want the parents to know that they can come to me or my assistant teacher with any questions or concerns that they have about their child. I want to please the parents as well as pleasing the children. It demonstrates the knowledge I gained in the infant toddler and caregiver course of the infant toddler credential. It shows anti!bias because it states that we are going to do what is best for their child and that the children are on their own or group schedule. "e are a Christian daycare center so I have to put a religious picture on the welcome letter. #ll families are aware of our religion when they tour the center.
