To Whom It May Concern: I take pleasure in highly recommending Jynesia Stewart as a candidate for a position. I have worked with Ms. Stewart in my position as a Reading Teacher, Language Arts Teacher and AVID Elective Teacher at R. Frank Nims Middle School located in Tallahassee, Florida. For the past year and a half Jynesia Stewart has served as a Gear-up and AVID tutor, a mentor, and teacher assistant.

Gear up is a nationwide grant funded program which hires highly qualified college students, to serve as an academic tutor and mentor. They must possess outstanding leadership skills, effective organizational skills, and explicit communication skills. Jynesia led individual and small groups to academically assist students in need of additional explicit instruction in various core content areas. In addition AVID is a college preparatory elective designed to help students learn about college and learn skills that will help them to be successful in school and post secondary education. As an AVID tutor, her role in the AVID program is to conduct and facilitate tutorial groups with AVID students. The admirable aspect of AVID tutorials is that the AVID Tutor leads and encourages students to ask thought-provoking, higher ordered thinking questions to their peers within the tutorial group in attempt to help the student presenter realize the answer to a question. An AVID tutorial has an extensive inquiry process. Jynesia Stewart has led numerous tutorial groups, enabling and promoting students to think critically.

Jynesia has a wonderful rapport with people of all ages. Her ability to connect with her co workers and students has allowed her to be an effective mentor. She has helped and guided many students in to the right direction. Due to her outstanding ability to lead a group, she is an amazing role model for the ones she works with. Jynesia has excellent written and verbal communication skills, and has conceptualized the balance of being a relatable leader yet not overly personal. In additional Jynesia is heavily invovled with our instructional software programs. Due to her abilties to manage and work with technology, she has been a great help to teachers. I recommend Jynesia Stewart to you without any reservation. Her experience has greatly prepared her for the position. As she moves forward in her career she will be missed throughout R. Frank Nims Middle School campus. She is a great component in whatever capacity she works within.
