Cons of Bush No Child Left Behind Act:


The Bush Administration has significant underfunded NCLB at the state level, and somehow, allowed stated to comply with all provisions of NCLB or risk losing federal funds. As a result, most states have been forced to make budget cuts in non-tested school subjects such as books, foreign languages, arts, science, and many field trips.

Problems with Standardized Test


There were problems with NCLB Standardize Test, critics allege that standardized tests contain cultural biases, and that educational quality cant necessarily be evaluated by objective resting.

Failure to Address Reasons for Lack of Achievement


Also here are other factors to blame why NCLB had some failures such as, old damage buildings, class size, hunger, homelessness, lack of healthcare.

Dream Act under President Obama


The Dream Act is proposed Congressional legislation aimed at providing temporary legal residency, and the ability to apply for permanent residency, for illegal immigrants who were brought by parents to the U.S.as minors, who have graduated from a U.S. high school, and who meet a number of specific conditions and tests. After obtaining temporary legal residency, The purpose of the Dream Act, is to help those individuals have an opportunity to enlist in the military or go to college, and have a path to citizenship which they otherwise would not have with out this legislation.

Dream is an acronym for Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors. Alien Minors somebody who is yet not legally an adult.

What is No Child Left Behind

Reform and Invest in K-12 Education


President Obama will reform Americas public schools by delivering a 21st century education that prepares all children for success in in the new global workplace. World-class academic standards and a curriculum involves critical thinking, problem solving innovative knowledge to prepare students tor college and career, (White, 2010).

The Significance of NCLB


Assure that all children have a fair, equal and significance opportunity to obtain a high- quality education and reach, a minimum, proficiency on challenging State academic achievement standards and state academic assessments.

Future of NCLB
The American Federation of Teachers (AFT) recommendations to improve NCLB focused on the following areas: Assessment and accountability School Improvement Interventions Staffing Schools Funding the system wide accountability. How many of these recommended improvements will be made is unknown. Its important to recognize that all children can learn and to have some kind of accountability measure to require that we separate data pertaining to student learning.
