Baja SAE India is a national level competition where more than 5000 engineering students participate. R.V.

College of Engineering which has emerged as one of the premier engineering institutions in India ranked within top 15 in the country and within top 10 among private colleges has participated in this event this year. Team Helios Racing This is a team which comprises of highly enthusiastic and passionate undergraduate engineering students from RVCE who participate in the Baja SAE competitions that are held around the world. Plans for 2013-14: The 20 member team has successfully conceptualized, designed and analysed the various subsystems of the vehicle up to this stage. The team is aiming to set a benchmark for performance this year at the Baja SAE India event. The team has done remarkably well in clearing the Virtual Baja round and is one among the 125 teams selected for the final event out of the 327 teams that had registered for the competition. The team will next be participating in the dynamic event to be held in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh in the month of February 2014.Only 7 teams from Karnataka have been selected this year. The team is almost done with the design aspect and now is gearing up to fabricate the vehicle.

How can you help us?

The endeavour of building a car from scratch is not an easy job. The estimated budget for rolling the car would be around 6.5 lakhs which is supposed to be generated by the team. We will graciously accept your donation in any form, be it money, parts, materials, tools or machining time.
