After we have learned all of the above information the students will take a short pop quiz to check their understanding of the material we've just learned. Identification of students: Students will log-in so their individual scores will be available to you after the session SRS Activity will be anonymous Briefly describe what will happen during the SRS Activity (For example: What will students do? What will teacher do? What materials are needed? How long will the SRS activity take?): Students will leave everything at their desk and go to the computers. They will then all log on to Socrative as students and put in my room number. They will then take the quiz (without talking to anyone other than me). As the teacher I will walk around the classroom to monitor everything. This is a short pop quiz so it should only take about 5-10 minutes to complete. Describe what will occur after the SRS activity: After the SRS quiz I will review the results and go over the question(s) that most students got incorrect. Describe your personal learning goal for this activity. (For example: What are you trying that you have not tried before? What do you hope to learn from this activity? How do you hope it will help students learn? You must design something that will help you learn something new! Honor System!) One thing that I am trying that I have not tried before is testing students electronically instead of on paper. I hope to learn that by using SRS I will receive students quiz and test results faster then I would grading them by hand. I also hope that this will be a less stressful environment for students while testing which may improve test scores.
