Assignment PPT E: How to Evaluate PowerPoint Presentations (PPT)

1. Pick a historical figure, person of personal interest, or an event. The person you pick should be school appropriate! If you are not sure, ask me. 2. Your task is to find three PPT presentations that are available on the web. You will evaluate the three and decide which is best after filling out the spread sheet on the next page. This may require going back to the first one or second after viewing the third to help you decide. 3. Use Google.com to find PPTs. You will use the Advanced Search feature and limit your searches to PPT format. Example: PPT+William Wallace or PowerPoint+William Wallace 4. Make sure you support why the one selected is the best of the three. Be thorough in your answer. One or two sentences DOES NOT support your reasoning. 5. After you fill out the Spread sheet on the next page, completed the supporting comment box, make sure your name and date data field is filled in on the spread sheet. 6. Save it to your documents your Integrated Tech 8 on your H: drive. 7. Send it to the conference via an email attachment. 8. Subject line should have your last name followed by PPT Eval.

The best power point, in my opinion, was PPT #1. Even though it did not have any transitions, it went along smoothly and didnt jump from one topic to another. The actual look of it was nice too. It had a nice background with outlines, and the pictures were clear, easy to see, and went with the text. It also had good sentences that were clear, to the point, and easy to understand. It gave me lots of good information in a quick and easy to understand way. The only bad thing about this was that it did not have a bibliography.
