Lower School Winter Gathering (2:00) Winter Break Begins - NO SCHOOL School Resumes

As always, look to our weekly Ask Me Abouts for more detailed information on events and curriculum! !!!!

On Thursday, December 19th all family and friends are invited to the Lower School Winter Gathering. This will be a fun community event and we hope that you will plan to come. Children need to wear dress code clothing on this day. Family and friends are invited to join us at 2:00 in the Jones gym. You may want to arrive around 1:45 to make sure you get a great seat. Children will be released to their parents in the classrooms following the program.

Winter Clothing Reminder: We do go outdoors for recess even when there is snow on the Speaking of winter clothing, if ground! Please make sure your you sent a change of clothes with your child in the child has boots, snow pants, beginning of the year that gloves or mittens, and a hat was suitable for warmer at school every day! The boots and snow pants can stay here weather, please think about sending another change of at school. We will send them clothes suitable for winter home over winter break (along weather. Thank you! with art smocks and swim suits) to be washed.

TRADITIONS
The month of December lends itself to discussing traditions and celebrations, what brings all people together as well as what makes us unique. We will spend time learning how people in our community and in other countries celebrate the winter holidays. If you are interested in sharing with our class, perhaps we can schedule you as a mystery reader! You can share a story and teach us about your familys winter/holiday traditions!
