Daybook Reflection: Workshop

This daybook entry was to be brought to a workshop in which we answered a series of questions about our concerns, strengths and weaknesses we had with literacy narrative. Doing this early process work, was extremely important in the development of my final narrative. This gave the ability to explore my troubles and the aspects that came easier than others. In the past, prior to this class, I never really took peer editing and workshops to improve my work seriously and my rough draft was my final draft with minor grammar corrections. But doing this entry and attending the workshop, hearing my fellow classmates talk about the same issues was extremely helpful and relieving. Peer editing and getting constructive criticism as well as being praised for the things I did well, not only helped me grow as a writer but helped us all grow as a family, so to speak. This was vital because it helped us be more efficient in bouncing ideas and recommendations off each other easily without rejection.
