Reflection: Personal Literacy Narrative Draft

Looking back at this rough draft, I am overly amused. The reason for my amusement is that nothing I have ever done in my recent memory better reflects my difficulties writing a paper better than this rough draft. Looking at this one page of this draft, pretty much reflects my difficulties of writing as a whole and if you havent caught on, it is getting started, the introduction. There is a giant hole in the middle of my paper in which I had no idea how to proceed with my intro. Moving past the gaping hole in my paper, I had no trouble with the body and the explaining of my experience. The student reviewing my paper advised me to tell more about the actual writing statement. Since my introduction was broken, my thesis was unclear because I had no detail explaining my thesis. I have noticed a pattern while proceeding with these reflections. I realize there is a pattern to my difficulties and I also was able to acknowledge my strengths as well. I am a very weak starter but my body of my papers are really strong and detailed. Through discover sessions and workshops, I was able to isolate my weaknesses through the workshop daybook entries and have my peers give me ideas and suggestions that produces the best paper I could write, every time.
