revision process. Revision is the editing of an essay after another person reads over and gives comments on a writers work. Editing has many benefits for the writer, but it contains many difficulties as well. First of all, editing the essay has benefits which help the writer to construct his essay. If the writer edits his essay, it will help present his ideas more clearly to the reader. Editing and correcting mistakes will help me to make my essay stronger. For example, when my teacher gave me feedback on one of my essays, she asked me to correct my mistakes. After reviewing and correcting my mistakes, I re-read my essay; it was clearer when I compared it with the first draft that I wrote. The benefits of revision and editing will improve my writing skills as a whole. Second of all, revision has many difficulties. The writer may be confused about his mistakes for many reasons. First, he might misunderstand what the feedback symbols mean. For example, if the writer makes a subject and verb agreement mistake, and the correction symbol is sv agr, he might not know to correct the subject and verb agreement because he does not understand what sv means. The second problem a writer might not how to correct a mistake. In this case, I recommend using a book that explains the symbols and gives examples how to correct the mistakes. For example, the rules for writer book shows how to correct and grammatical mistakes, and explains the editing symbols as well.

Finally, in order to make the essay clear and understandable for the reader, a writer must edit their essay. Editing ones own work is one of the most important things in becoming a good writer.
