Tropical Field Ecology Course in Costa Rica January 2012 -Performed field work for three research projects in Costa Rica -Executed independent project on daily variation in crayfish predation rates. -Surveyed aquatic invertebrate diversity in freshwater stream microhabitats. -Assisted in short-term mammal survey on the Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica. Marden Laboratory (Penn State University) Physiological Ecology & Biomechanics Research -Caught butterflies during short-term fieldwork. -Ran DNA/Protein sequence samples through BLAST. -Performed metabolic rate/respirometry data collection. -Performed RNA isolation on butterfly tissues.
