NewinStata12isthemarginsplotcommand,whichmakesiteasyto graphstatisticsfromfittedmodels.marginsplotgraphstheresultsfrommargins,andmarginsitselfcan computefunctionsoffittedvaluesafteralmostanyestimationcommand,linearornonlinear. SupposewevejustfitatwowayANOVAofsystolicbloodpressureonagegroup,sex,andtheirinteraction. Wecanestimatetheresponseforeachcellwithmargins:

Tostudytheinteractionitwouldbenicetoseeagraph.InStata12wenolongerhavetoconstructthe graphmanuallywecaninsteadjusttypemarginsplot:

marginsplotautomaticallychoosestheyvariableandxvariableandaddsconfidenceintervals.Wedont havetostickwiththedefaults,though:marginsplotincludesarichsetofoptionsforchangingaxis definitions,labels,curves,confidenceintervals,andmore. marginsplotalsosupportsthenewfeaturesofthemarginscommand,includingthecontrastoperators. Letscontrastwomenwithmenineachagegroupandplotthecontrasts:
