Faces of Equality In todays society there is bigger problem than any American or humankind can imagine. When walking down a busy street you might see up to a hundred different faces and not recognize one. There are different ethnicities in every corner, and diverse cultures that Americans do not recognize. The first thing that a person will see is the features in another persons face, and within that split of a second they have already stereotyped that person. Americans have inherited a habit that is unrecognizable. In this image you will see the characteristics of all ethnicities combined into one image, creating a feeling of one whole. A feeling that society is missing. This image was created to have an effect on humans, showing all mankind is one and that is something America is missing. In this particular image the main focus was to connect to the audience emotionally, therefore he used pathos. The artist did so by showing an image that not just America, but the entire world is made of. A dream that human kind at one time might have; the dream of becoming one. Many Americans might ask themselves, Are we really one? The moral answer would be yes! Realistically the answer would be no. For example stereotype is having a thought that may be adopted about specific types of individuals, many Americans will do this and no even realize that they do. What is Americas solution to this? According to Voxii we do not address the issue by simply ignoring it. Sadly, that is all too often the case, this shows many Americans will ignore this issue instead of facing all reality. Candelaria 2 the world is made of. Meaning America is faced with this issue and Americans choice to sit around and ignore this crisis. This image helps open Americans eyes what stereotyping is. According to Iowa State University, Generalizations become a problem when people dont fit our stereotypical images. In this case, our stereotypes prevent us from seeing the person for who he/she really is. This creates a problem when Americans assume something and is not always correct for their assumption. As well, this leads into other major problems the word face, for example young children at school are stereotyping other children and this will lead into what America calls bullying. When stereotyping there are assumptions that are made that are not exactly true and this creates friction between two ethnicities and will defect the idea of one. According to IloveInda.com, Whenever we don't have a good understanding of a subject, say, of people or countries, then we tend to make assumptions about them, these assumptions are questionable, and have been proven. As a results of these assumptions, they are tearing away peoples humanities and relationship with other ethnicities. To make assumptions about people, is becoming natural and people are not realizing how this is effecting the world. These image helps to show what America is struggling with and helps open the mind of many when focusing in this image and the meaning. When looking at this image the first thing that helps catch the audiences eye is the ten sections of each ethnicity, this creates an image of one. The colors of this particular image are soft and warn, but the vivid ethnicities of each race is what makes the picture outstanding. It has a color scheme of each ethnicity which helps showcases the characteristics of each race. He also shows a dream that has not yet be conquered. This piece of work will show an example of what humans will experience on a daily basis and can relate to. This image portrays the many different

Candelaria 3 ethnicities and cultures that make the world. There is no one kind, but with all types of different ethnicities there can be one whole. This made a statement with his art piece that many have no seen. Seeing all races together combined together one a human face was shocking to many. For the fact that, humans may not realize how many ethnicities cultures there are until they see this image the artist has portrayed for them. When this artist used pathos, he created a feeling not of just hope but, he also opened eyes up to millions of people who saw this image. This image was meant to showcase around the world, so show what everyone is made up. A feeling of together. Having that feeling of together In conclusion, America was shown a picture filled with vivid colors and ten different ethnicities that made a humans face. The artist of this particular image was showcasing what America was missing, a feeling of a whole. He represented an issue that America face, which was stereotyping. As well, he connected with the audience emotionally, bring forward the issue that not just America but all countries have faced, he opened Americans eyes. This image opened eyes of Americans in hope of a change, to become one.
