The webpage shares rich detail about the incident with the African American male driver and the white Highway Patrolman. The details helped my paper a lot because it gave me an exact play by play of the events that took place on the night the riots started. The webpage also explains how the government reacted to the Watts Riots and explained how the National Guard had to step in and they played a huge role in the extinguishing of the 1965 riots.

Web. 1 Dec 2013. <http://mlkkpp01.stanford.edu/index.php/encyclopedia/encyclopedia/enc_watts_rebellion_los_angel es_1965/>. The website of Martin Luther King Jr. gives a description of how the riots started on an August night in 1965. I think it probably gave the most detail out of all the descriptions of the incident Ive read about on the Internet. The part of this webpage that I liked the most was that it told the story of the Watts Riots through the eyes of Martin Luther King Jr. It explained how he reacted to the riots and also explained what he did in reaction to the Riots.

This source was particularly helpful to me because it gave me exact numbers the explained different races in the population that made up the community of Watts. It also gave crime statistics over a plethora of decades and that was extremely interesting to track. This source will help solidify my statements about Watts and will provide me with specific numbers to further examine the city of Watts.

This website helped me further understand the Watts Riots. It explained the events leading up to the riots and why the people in the city of Watts were angered. This explanation really helped me understand the full picture of the Watts Riots and I was given an entirely new perspective on it. It was especially helpful because it explained the situations that occurred during the Riots in a completely different light.

The City Data website was very similar to another website that I had used regarding statistics. This website also gave precise numbers of races in the population that made up Watts. It showed graphs of how the races have fluctuated over the last 50 years and it gave me an insight on what type of people lived in Watts when the riots were occurring.

I barely used much of the information on this cite in my actual research paper but I did learn a lot from it.

Regina Joness description of her personal experience living in Watts was so helpful to me. I was able to see the events unfold from actual eye whiteness. This personal explanation of how it felt to live in Watts gave me the information I needed to support the claims I made in my research paper. Regina Joness experiences were real and life changing to read about the terror she felt was chilling. Her experience helped me to create the atmosphere I want the reader of my paper to feel.

Davis , Evelyn. "Watts Towers ." Watts Towers Art Center n.pag. Website Builder. Web. 1 Dec 2013. <http://www.wattstowers.org/Watts_Towers_Arts_Center.php>. In my paper I give a brief explanation of the Watts towers. I explain how they came to be and who created the work of art. This website was able to give me all of the information I needed to capture the true essence of the Watts towers and its creator. From what Ive learned the Watts Towers is an asset to the community if Watts and gives the city a unique personality.
