Arrival: Arrival: 7:50-8:05 Children are helped to build relationships with teachers and other children as 12:00-12:15 they become familiar with the classroom and the arrival routine. Children are greeted by their teachers, guided to help find their name tags, and assisted to print in their name books. They can then choose to explore the library, science area, toys and games, and writing center.

Small Group/Planning 8:15-8:35 12:25-12:45

Children are able to engage in an activity at their level of development in a smaller group while led by an adult. Planning is an opportunity for children to use a simple activity to show that it is their turn to make a plan and state their intentions of what they will do during work time.
Monday Making a silly Monster Face with ten items (foam, google eyes, feathers, etc.) KDI E32 Planning: Stand inside a rectangle, triangle, or square (taped on the floor) and tell where you will work today. KDI E34

Children carry out personal care routines on their own with the support of teaching staff KDI C19 Work Time/Free Choice Children are deliberate in selecting activities and materials to work with and actively implement their ideas and plans with cooperative play. The classroom is set up in defined areas to encourage explorations in dramatic play, blocks, science, art, writing, library, and sensory experiences. KDI A3, G51, G52,B13,F43 The cleanup song is sung and children attempt to work cooperatively to clean up the classroom. The come to circle music is played so children can enter circle as they finish their tasks and complete their cleanup. KDI B8, B11 Students sit in a small group and reflect and share their favorite activity, or what they did and who they played with at work time/free choice. This will show the importance of a childs work and that their work has meaning. KDI A6, B11

Physical Development and Health- Children engage in healthy practices, express represent what they observe, think, imagine, and feel through music and movement. Children can join as their recall groups naturally end. We will play and engage in 2-3 movement songs KDI C20,F41,F42 Language, Literacy, and Communication-Children are read to for pleasure and for information. KDI D25, D26

Children will line up at the door, wash their hands, and choose a seat for snack. KDI C20

Outside/Dismissal 10:30-11:00 2:40-3:00(3:10 for bus students) Special Activities

Students line up at the door, put on outside clothing when applicable and go outside to play. KDI C18, C19,B8 New Student pm/No School Wednesday pm or Thursday all day(Thanksgiving Break)
