Poverty in the Philippines continues to grow every year despite the promises made by our elected officials.

This may be caused by the dense population in different urban regions, which result to unequal distribution of funds by the politicians. We believe that each and every one of us has the ability to affect our nation. Our perspective towards progress can be the key for the betterment of our country. Our future depends on the choices that we make from simply choosing our class president up to the grand act of appointing the leaders of our nation. Thus, choosing a dishonest and corrupt leader may result to economic and political instability. And in these kinds of situations, we resort to blame the officials, the very officials that we have appointed. We believe that since we are given the power to choose our leader, the future of our nation is also our responsibility. We resolve to be more aware how powerful our votes are. One vote can make a big difference. We, instilled within us, are the virtues taught to us by our elders in order to achieve a better future and improved society. We believe in honesty, transparency and justice for our government. We commit ourselves to have the initiative to be part of the change. Moreover, we resolve to persevere and strive towards building a great nation so that we can experience equity and justice amongst our fellow Filipinos.
