ThenovelThingsFallApartChinuaAchebewasanextraordinarynovelwhichallowedits readertoexperienceandgetthefeelofthetruemaledominateIgboculture.Ilearnedsomuchthrough theCharacterOkonkwoandhisfamily.Itexpressedtomehowthemanhadtoshowhismasculinityin ordertoberespected.Menwereawardedcertaintitlestoshowtheircontributiontotheclan.

OverallIhavelearnedanimmenseaboutofAfricanculturefromreadingNovels,folktales,and articlesofftheinternet.IlearnedhowtheAfricanslivedandsurvivedfromdaytoday.Iwasalso enlightenedabouttheBritishcolonizationinAfricaandhowitaffectedthealreadyestablishedclans.I realizedthatoverall,theAfricanclans,especiallytheIgbo,wereverysimilartotodayssociety.Not onlydidIlearnaboutAfrican,butIalsoenjoyedreadingtheirfascinatingfolktales.
