Sony Entertainment Television or SET, is a Hindi language based entertainment television

channel.
It was launched in October 1995 and is owned by Multi Screen Media Pvt Ltd (formerly, SET India Private Limited) a subsidiary of Sony Pictures Entertainment.

MSMs family of channels in India are as: Sony : - Indias premium general entertainment channel. MAX :- Indias premium movie and special event channel. SAB : - A Hindi channel focusing on entertaining modern India. PIX : - A channel that airs Hollywood movie product. MIX : - A 24 hour Hindi music channel. (Launched on September 1st , 2011) SIX : Sports Channel

The other channel which are the part of the MSMs family are AXN and Animax India and

Sony Aath.

Today SET India (MSM) faces stiff competition from: Star Plus (Toughest Competitor) Zee TV Colors Currently Sony is the 4th most watched general entertainment channel.

Strategies adopted by the Sony Entertainment Television are as:

Reinforce the Electronic Business Further strengthen the profitability in the Entertainment.
Entertainment Business The Pictures segment is aiming to focus on the production of motion picture titles with high profit potential, including globally popular franchises, and will seek to further develop its television production and

television network businesses, which are areas where continued growth is anticipated, as stable sources of
profit. In the television network business, the Company will target further business expansion in rapidly. In the Music segment, the Company aims to increase market share by unearthing and nurturing exciting new

talent, and also exploring various growth opportunities such as leveraging its music content for use across
increasingly popular online music service platforms, in order to achieve further business growth.
