Mission Statement: Give compassionate care to all people, while building up the kingdom of God around the world; by declaring Jesus Christ, taking care of those who are suffering spiritually, mentally or physically, and by serving God by doing his will.

Verbs: Give: To execute or deliver. Declaring: to make known formally, officially, or explicitly. Tending: Care for or look after; give one's attention to Serving: To be a servant to, submitting to a higher authority. I prayed about my challenges throughout the day 2. I prayerfully sought Gods will and purpose before each clinical day 3. I listened to the Holy Spirit actively working in my skills as a nurse. Do at least nine statements have an X next to them? Yes/No If no, what is a goal for the next day? If there is a statement that has not had an X by it in the past three days what is my goal to fulfill this statement? Purpose of this tool: To gauge how well I am living out my mission statement with the people I take care of during my clinical rotations. This will provide objective data because there is no reason to mark a result if it did not occur it is simply a learning tool that can be used to improve my care for patients. How results will be evaluated: I will place a check mark next to each thing I feel I did well each day. My goal is to have at least nine of the statements with an X. If there is less than this a written goal will be made for the next day. If there are at least nine statements with an X I will continue to the next day and at the end of the second day evaluate my actions again. If I find that I have gone three days without placing a check mark by a statement I will write out a goal for the next day and take steps to make sure I am fulfilling that goal.
