Nakamura Biology Period 2B 30 December 2011 The North Pole (Cell Analogy) At the North Pole, Santas Elves are working all year round, creating toys for good boys and girls all over the world. There are wide varieties of toys made at the North Pole; each made special for a specific child. Elves are created and raised in the magical Elf Nursery which is tended by Mrs. Claus. When Elves mature, each Elf is given a set of instructions for making each toy from Santas Workshop by Santa himself. After an Elf finishes a toy, it places it on a conveyer belt that connects the entire factory. Before toys are sent off to be packaged, they are carefully inspected and tested by specially trained Elves. If a toy is found to be defective, it is shipped to the Disassembly Room where Disassembler Elves dismantle toys for reuse of their parts. The toy is then sent to the Packaging Room where the Packaging Machine sorts, wraps, and tags each gift. The entire factory is powered by an energy grid that is powered through the power of magic. It has an unlimited source of power and runs completely on its own. The energy grid is also responsible for keeping up the force field that encompasses the entire factory. The force field is designed to only open in the presence of Rudolph and his red nose, allowing Santa and his reindeer to leave the factory every Christmas for his annual journey around the world.
